To Website! @Lenaroybooks!
I just published my website! I have a real, "bona-fide" site now, making the "published author" dream all the more close. Five and a half months from publication, but who is counting? Writing about my fears and being held accountable for them by you all helped me to go ahead and explore Author Guild's site-builder, editing with the help of of the husband. Pressing ACTIVATE last night was very anti-climactic, as I had to wait until this afternoon to have the Author's Guild peeps comfirm my domain name, lenaroybooks.com. (My bog will stay lenaroy.com) And then I realized that I could have a BIO page, so I had to come up with a biography! Of course I wrote tons and then had to cut most of it, because that's just the way I roll. I'm so excited, and I really, really hope you guys like it: Lenaroybooks!

love it!!! how are you?ReplyDelete
I love it! I'm no graphic designer, but I think the textures and colors work well with Edges's cover and create a similar visual as the blog. Great job. Your author photos are lovely. Congratulations on another milestone.ReplyDelete
Thank you so much! It feels like an accomplishment amidst all of this tear down and build up of the house! Hmmmm . . . gives me an idea for another blog!ReplyDelete
Lena, I really like the website. I agree that the textures of the background really create that sense of academia and Bohemia that you talk about in your Bio. And the pictures of you are really great. Be proud. I love that your book is set in NY and Moab. I am a college writing teacher in Utah Valley. I have had many turning point moments in Moab. Can't wait for the release date. You should check out Shannon Hale's blog. I think it is squeetus.com or something like unto that. There was a great discussion about authors and morals and values that I think you would dig. :)ReplyDelete
So Beautiful!! Congrats, Lena...it is a Joy to walk along this path with you, thanks for sharing your Life & Work. You are inspiring my own walk today...just as your grandmother's "Wrinkle in Time" transformed my mind as a young girl!!! There's just nothing like the community of Women-and the connection between generations amazes me still!ReplyDelete
Word Diva and Maryann - thank you so much for your support - and for letting me get to know you a little too! Word Diva, I can't wait to get back to Utah -it's been too long! (My husband and I met in Moab!)ReplyDelete
Fantabulous, and you look so young, yes I know not a word but don't tell my 5th graders that. Only you could appreciate a purchased box of 21 collectible childrens' authors for $4.00 from an estate sale, opened found A.A. Milne, Louisa Mae Alcott, a plethora of treasures median publishing dates 1940. I too go nowhere without a book in a bag :) LIFE IS GREATReplyDelete
I am happy to see that we can find books on your website also that will help us more for au resume reviews. Because your books are very beneficial and your readers will be very happy by getting them on your site.ReplyDelete
