To Website! @Lenaroybooks!

I just published my website! I have a real, "bona-fide" site now, making the "published author" dream all the more close. Five and a half months from publication, but who is counting? Writing about my fears and being held accountable for them by you all helped me to go ahead and explore Author Guild's site-builder, editing with the help of of the husband. Pressing ACTIVATE last night was very anti-climactic, as I had to wait until this afternoon to have the Author's Guild peeps comfirm my domain name, lenaroybooks.com. (My bog will stay lenaroy.com) And then I realized that I could have a BIO page, so I had to come up with a biography! Of course I wrote tons and then had to cut most of it, because that's just the way I roll. I'm so excited, and I really, really hope you guys like it: Lenaroybooks!

  2. I love it! I'm no graphic designer, but I think the textures and colors work well with Edges's cover and create a similar visual as the blog. Great job. Your author photos are lovely. Congratulations on another milestone.

  4. Lena, I really like the website. I agree that the textures of the background really create that sense of academia and Bohemia that you talk about in your Bio. And the pictures of you are really great. Be proud. I love that your book is set in NY and Moab. I am a college writing teacher in Utah Valley. I have had many turning point moments in Moab. Can't wait for the release date. You should check out Shannon Hale's blog. I think it is squeetus.com or something like unto that. There was a great discussion about authors and morals and values that I think you would dig. :)

You are inspiring my own walk today...just as your grandmother's "Wrinkle in Time" transformed my mind as a young girl!!! There's just nothing like the community of Women-and the connection between generations amazes me still!

  7. Fantabulous, and you look so young, yes I know not a word but don't tell my 5th graders that. Only you could appreciate a purchased box of 21 collectible childrens' authors for $4.00 from an estate sale, opened found A.A. Milne, Louisa Mae Alcott, a plethora of treasures median publishing dates 1940. I too go nowhere without a book in a bag :) LIFE IS GREAT
